구명동의 (Lifejacket)

 

 1  General requirements for lifejacket (일반요건)

1) lifejacket shall not sustain burning or continue melting after being totally enveloped in a fire for a

period of 2 sec. (2초간 화염에 완전히 휩싸인 후 불타거나 계속 녹지 않아야 한다)

2) Adult size: Weight 43 kg or more, Height 155 cm or more (성인용 구명동의 크기 기준 - 43킬로/155센티미터 이상으로 Lifejackets shall be marked by either weight or height)

 

 2  Adult lifejacket shall be so constructed that (다음과 같이 제작되어야 한다)

1) at least 75% of persons who are completely unfamiliar with the lifejacket can correctly don it within a period of 1 min without assistance, guidance or prior demonstration (익숙하지 않은 사람 75%가 도움/지침/사전시범 없이 1분 이내에 정확히 착용할 수 있어야 한다)

2) after demonstration, all persons can correctly don it within a period of 1 min without assistance (착용시범 후에는 모든 사람이 도움 없이 1분 이내에 정확히 착용할 수 있어야 한다)

3) it is clearly capable of being worn in only one way or inside-out and, if donned incorrectly, it is not injurious to the wearer (한쪽 방향으로만 또는 안쪽에서 밖으로 착용할 수 있으며, 잘못 착용되어지더라도 착용자에게 상해를 입히지 않아야 한다)

4) the method of securing the lifejacket to the wearer has quick and positive means of closure that do not require tying of knots (구명동의를 고정하는 방법은 매듭을 묶는 것이 아닌 다른 신속하고 적극적인 체결 수단을 가져야 한다)

5) it is comfortable to wear (착용하기에 편안해야 한다)

6) it allows the wearer to jump into the water from a height of at least 4.5 m while holding on to the lifejacket, and from a height of at least 1m with arms held overhead, without injury and without dislodging or damaging the lifejacket or its attachments (착용자가 구명동의를 잡은 상태로는 4.5m 이상 / 손으로 머리를 잡은 상태에서는 1m 이상의 높이에서 수면으로 뛰어 들어도 부상당하지 않고, 구명동의가 벗겨지거나 손상되지 않아야 한다)

 

 3  Adult lifejackets shall have sufficient buoyancy and stability in calm fresh water to (성인용 구명조끼는 잔잔한 담수에서 충분한 부력 및 복원성을 가져야 한다 - Resolution MSC.368(93) 참조)

 4   Adult lifejacket shall allow the person wearing it to swim a short distance and to board a survival craft. (착용하고 짧은 거리를 헤엄쳐 생존정에 오를 수 있어야 한다)

 5   Lifejacket shall have buoyancy which is not reduced by more than 5% after 24 h submersion in fresh water. (청수에 24시간 잠긴 후 부력이 5% 이상 감소되지 않아야 한다)

 6  The buoyancy of a lifejacket shall not depend on the use of loose granulated materials. (구명동의의 부양성은 알갱이 모양 재료를 사용하면 안된다)

 7  Lifejacket shall be provided with means of securing a lifejacket light. (구명동의 Light를 고정시키는 수단이 제공되어야 한다)

 

 8  Lifejacket shall be fitted with a whistle firmly secured by a lanyard. (끈으로 연결된 호각이 부착되어야 한다)

 

 9  Lifejacket shall be provided with a releasable buoyant line or other means to secure it to a lifejacket worn by another

 

 10  person in the water. (물에 빠진 인원들이 서로 연결하여 뭉칠수 있게 부양성 끈과 같은 수단이 제공되어야 한다)

 

 11   Lifejacket shall be provided with a suitable means to allow a rescuer to lift the wearer from the water into a survival craft or rescue boat. (구조자가 착용자를 물속에서 생존/구조정으로 들어 올릴 수 있는 수단이 제공되어야 한다)

 

 12  Lifejacket light Each lifejacket light shall:

1) Have a luminous intensity of not less than 0.75 cd in all directions of the upper hemisphere (상반구의 모든 방향으로 0.75 칸델라 이상의 조도)

2) Have a source of energy capable of providing a luminous intensity of 0.75 cd for a period of at least 8 hrs (최소 8시간 이상 0.75 칸델라의 조도를 유지해야 한다)

3) Be visible over as great a segment of the upper hemisphere as is practicable when attached to a lifejacket (구명동의에 부착되었을 때 가능한 한 넓은 범위에서 잘 보일 것)

4) Be of white colour (불빛은 흰색)
